With my wife and son out of town for the Holiday weekend I had the chance to take our daughter out to dinner tonight. We decided to try something new and settled on The Thirsty Lion's newest addition to the Streets of Tanasbourne.
After a fairly short (10-15 minutes) wait we were seated, and our server quickly came to take our drink order. The first thing you notice is the noise. If looking for dinner table conversation this is not the place, at least on a Friday.
I decided on the Artisan Greek Burger- a Feta cheese stuffed burger grilled with oregano, cucumber, tomato, red onion, arugula, red bell peppers and tzatziki sauce on grilled ciabatta bread. The burger was ordered medium-low but arrived much less cooked by that. The burger was well seasoned and the flavors of the oregano and feta really helped balance the vegetables to give it a greek feel, although for me it would have been better executed using ground lamb than beef. Their fries were good, hot all the way through and cooked without being greasy at all, and had good flavor.
In all it was a decent dining experience for a bar, but as I said not good to have conversation if that is what you are looking for. The food was good enough for us to make return trips I',m sure.
